2. 2.1 A good study environment for everyone You contribute to a good study environment An educational institution such as UCN basically consists of people who want to get an education, become more competent and learn new skills. Focus is on learning. It is also about people. It is about you, your fellow students, your lecturers and other UCN employees. About openness and good relations, about respect, trust and security. These are values that we rate highly at UCN. They are crucial for us all in order to feel at ease and to have a good environment for learning and education. You can and should contribute to making your time at UCN good for you and your surroundings. We are glad that you are part of UCN. 2.2 Avoid unacceptable behaviour Unfortunately, you may spoil things for yourself and others if you display unacceptable behaviour. The general criminal law, which applies in society as a whole, also applies here at UCN, as we are part of society. Violence, threats of violence, vandalism, document forgery and insulting treatment are examples of violations which are punishable, also when they take place in UCN's area or in relation to UCN. Apart from the general criminal law UCN has its own rules of conduct. They are rooted in the Danish Act on University Colleges of Higher Education and its standard regulations, in the Exam Order and in UCN's own articles of association. Everything in this pamphlet is about the behaviour we want and the behaviour we do not want at UCN. That is the case no matter if it is behaviour displayed at our physical campuses and addresses, virtually on our digital media and networks, or related to UCN's operation, function and area of responsibility as an educational institution, such as being on internship in Denmark or another country.
